BRNO - rider Andrea Dovizioso has been officially binding cooperation with Ducati. Dovizioso will replace star Valentino Rossi started the season in 2013

Earlier this month, Yamaha officially announced that it has hired back Rossi after seven-times MotoGP champion said it was no longer able to ride the iron horse owned by Ducati.

Since then, Dovizioso linked to replace Rossi. Towards the Czech MotoGP race at Brno, Yamaha Tech 3 it has reached an agreement to cooperate with the Italian motorcycle manufacturer.

"The agreement reached with Andrea Dovizioso confirms the company's main interest in the race, which is part of the strategy of active DNA Ducati," a statement from Ducati President Gabriele Del Torchio.

"I am pleased to welcome the arrival of Dovizioso, since we will strive to remain at the top of the MotoGP championship," said Del Torchio, as reported by Reuters on Thursday (23/08/2012).

Thus, the Italian rider will be paired with Nicky Hayden in MotoGP 2013. Hayden already extend contracts first with Ducati.

"Together with Nicky Hayden, rider we've renewed contracts, we believe we can continue the development program, to compete and get results that can pay the trust of fans, colleagues and our sponsors," he said.
