BRNO - Casey Stoner white flag. Stoner says his chances to retain the MotoGP championship was over, after having to miss the Czech MotoGP this weekend.

As reported earlier, the Repsol Honda rider has to be absent in Ceska after going home to Australia to undergo surgery on ankle injury. The injury he got when he fell oada Indianapolis MotoGP qualifying session.

Currently, Stoner had fallen 39 points off the championship of Jorge Lorenzo. With having to undergo surgery, then Stoner takes time to heal the injury.

Former Ducati rider admitted his chances to win the third title in MotoGP over. It also dispelled his ambition to end a career in MotoGP with the sweet.

"This news is very disappointing at all, but a clear end to our chances in the championship this time," Stoner said in a statement at a news conference in Brno, as quoted by Autosport, Friday (08/24/2012).

Worse, Stoner did not know when it will be back to race again. "I do not know when I'll be back riding a bike again. We will not know until we do the surgery, "said two-time MotoGP champion.
